Man on the Bike

While driving to class the other day, I saw a guy on his bike trying to hold onto this huge piece of luggage strapped onto the front of his bike. To make matters worse, he also had a bag strapped onto his back. Poor guy was barely moving. The weight of his baggage kept him from barely moving forward.Right in that moment, as I was watching the efforts of that man trying to go forward, I heard the Holy Spirit say, "My darling, that is you." You see, if we simply give ALL of our baggage over to the Lord, it will make our journey sooo much easier. But, instead we insist upon carrying our burdens, hurts, fears, and wounds with us. Maybe it's a bad relationship that you are holding onto that has left you so wounded and hurt. Maybe someone victimized you, maybe you are hiding a dark secret that no one knows and you can't forgive yourself. Could it be that you are fearful of letting go of the past, because you are afraid of what the future holds for you? Whatever it is, I am telling you, you HAVE TO LET GO!!Living in the past and holding onto our baggage is deadly!!! If you are always looking behind you then you will never go forward, and you will lose sight of what is before you. Looking back destroys your future, dreams, and your potential. Here is some good news. Your past is OVER!! So, why keep living it???
